Walt Disney World announced more details of “Cool Kid Summer,” a series of kid-focused offerings and activities available from May 27 through September 1.
Cool Kid Summer at EPCOT

CommuniCore Hall will temporarily close on May 12 to become “Goofy’s ultimate playground.” Guests will get to dance and play along with Goofy in an “immersive experience” featuring DJ dance parties and games like Loopy Limbo and Parachutes ‘n’ Pipsqueaks. CommuniCore Plaza and the Mickey & Friends meet and greet will remain open during the temporary closure.
Cool Kid Summer at Disney’s Animal Kingdom

A new limited-time Wilderness Explorers badge will be available at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Disney parks Blog said guests should “keep an eye out for some amazing animals, including tigers, okapi and more.”
Rafiki’s Planet Watch will have hands-on crafts related to pollinators like bees and butterflies.
The Dino Institute Intern will end the day with an interactive sing-along on Discovery Island celebrating all the animals of Animal Kingdom. This celebration will feature original songs and storytelling.
Cool Kid Summer at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Games, crafts, and entertainment will be available all day long in Animation Courtyard. Disney Parks Blog teased magicians, jump rope performers, and surprise character appearances.
Coinciding with Cool Kid Summer, “Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After” and “The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure” will premiere on May 27.
Cool Kid Summer at Magic Kingdom Park

Join a DJ ringmaster and Pluto for a Storybook Circus dance party featuring stilt walkers and jugglers.

Over in Tomorrowland, Stitch will lead a high-energy DJ party at the Rocket Tower Plaza Stage. Merchant of Venus will offer a craft inspired by Pixar’s upcoming film “Elio.”
“Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away,” a new nighttime parade, will also debut at Magic Kingdom this summer, although a date has not been announced.
Hotel Perks

Guests staying at Walt Disney World Resort hotels enjoy free water park admission on their check-in day. Starting on May 21, they’ll get to choose from either Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach as they will operate simultaneously for the first time in five years. Blizzard Beach just closed for a brief refurbishment and Typhoon Lagoon reopened.
Hotel guests also get 30 minutes of early theme park entry daily, with some special character appearances during this time.

Guests staying at Disney’s Pop Century Resort, Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort and Disney’s Wilderness Lodge will enjoy extra activities, including character visits with set appearance times.
