Work Complete On Model Disney Vacation Club Cabins, Bus Stop Reopens at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort

Crews completed construction on two new Disney Vacation Club cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort, which will be models for tours. The nearby bus stop has also reopened.

DVC Cabin Construction

Though work is complete, the model cabins are not yet open for guests to view. Temporary fences sit in front of the sidewalks leading to the cabins.

A “Disney Vacation Club Welcome Home Center” sign was installed facing the road. It’s in front of a yellow-beige cabin, with a rust-red cabin behind.

There’s a podium set up outside the cabins, with an umbrella hanging over it, so Cast Members can stay shaded when standing outside. Landscaping was one of the last construction projects completed around the cabins, which are now surrounded by grass, shrubs, and trees.

There is a sidewalk open for walking past the cabins, which are connected by a deck.

The front cabin may be more of an office space, while the back cabin is a model of the actual guest accommodations. We did see one crew member on the deck, maybe clearing away the last remnants of construction.

The Settlement Bus Depot has reopened, and benches have returned to the stop. There was a temporary bus stop set up while the main Settlement Bus Depot was closed.

The new DVC cabins opened in July 2024, replacing the old non-DVC cabins. The cabins can sleep up to six adults and include a bedroom, bathroom, living room, full kitchen, and private patio. Watch our tour of a DVC cabin below.
