BouTiki at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is undergoing a refurbishment this month.

The maintenance project began on Monday, June 2, and is expected to be complete by the end of June. During the refurbishment, half of the store will be closed, but the other half will remain open.

Disney said that “maintenance may be seen and heard in the area” during the work period.

BouTiki is a gift shop on the first floor of the Great Ceremonial House, the lobby building of Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, which went through a major exterior refurbishment in 2021. In 2023, the lobby received new rugs and seating upholstery. In early 2024, new carpeting was installed on the building’s stairs.

A year ago, BouTiki and the upstairs Kona Cafe closed due to a water leak. BouTiki reopened with some water damage.

BouTiki sells “tropical trinkets, Hawaiian shirts, hotel logo and surf wear, ukuleles and Disney character merchandise.” This is where guests can usually find ‘Olu Mel merchandise from Aulani.

Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort has a second, smaller gift shop, Moana Mercantile, on the second floor overlooking the lobby. Here, guests can get “toys, sundries, snacks, and more!”
