Construction walls have gone up around the Honk Honkers facade in Seuss Landing at Universal Islands of Adventure.
Seuss Landing Construction Walls
The construction walls run from the Seuss Landing exit archway (on The Lost Continent side) to right underneath the nearby track of The High in the Sky Seuss Trolley Train Ride. Signs on the walls featuring the Cat in the Hat read, “Please pardon our dust – park enhancements in progress.”

Honk Honkers has been closed for years, except to act as the Grinch meet and greet space during the holiday season. It’s possible Universal has decided to do something new with the storefront, but nothing has been announced.
Recently, we noticed the Seuss Landing entrance at Universal Islands of Adventure is looking worse for wear with damage on its large pillars.
Seuss Landing has undergone multiple construction projects in the past few years, including around the entrance. In 2023, construction walls blocked off the water features. A year earlier, the top half of the entrance arch was torn down. The top of the archway was never restored.
Meanwhile, the nearby Green Eggs and Ham sign was removed in the fall of 2019. The restaurant was repainted, but the sign didn’t return until November 2024. It was then promptly removed again this January and hasn’t returned.
