Howdy! Today was another rainy day in EPCOT. I enjoyed a Grab-N-Goof brunch with Nana, our reporter manager, got a tiny village drama update from the Germany Pavilion, and of course checked out the new limited edition pins released today.
Monorail Mornings in EPCOT
Good morning from the EPCOT monorail where, oh my goodness, the Test Track sign has been unveiled. I was gonna go on about the rainy weather, but obviously, there isn’t anything better to talk about.
Test Track has been testing for weeks now. I am very optimistic that this revamp will be more like the Test Track we loved versus what we most recently had.
Pastel Stitch Loungefly – $90
In Gateway Gifts at the entrance of EPCOT, I found a new pastel Stitch Loungefly. This follows the Figment and Baymax backpacks released a few weeks ago. I hope there are a pair of ears that go with this backpack. It is absolutely precious.
Have you seen the live-action “Lilo & Stitch” remake yet? I am waiting for it to eventually come to Disney+. Let me know your thoughts in the comments below if you have seen it.
EPCOT Pin Tuesday!
I ran to Disney Traders to take a peek at the new limited edition pins released today. My favorite other than the Winnie-the-Pooh collection was the Father’s Day pin featuring Simba and his father Mufasa. Let me know if you have a favorite in the comments below.

Grab-N-Goof with Nana
I had a ton of fun taking a quick minute to review some of the new eats here in EPCOT. You can visit our website for a full review. I will leave you with this, the menu at Grab-N-Goof was certainly intended for a child’s appetite. Needless to say, I enjoyed the review today.
Let me know if you have tried any of these new food items and what you thought in the comments below.
Seas Moment
After eating, I needed to gracefully get back into the swing of things so I dipped into the Seas. I noticed that there was some work being done on the overhang. There are some cream tiles on the left of the scrim. I am not sure if there is a sign being installed or if this is just maintenance. Stay tuned, and in the meantime enjoy the eels.
EPCOT Mexico Pavilion Jewelry – $59
In the Mexico pavilion, there is a stunning necklace that depicts the Mexico pavilion pyramid with Spaceship Earth behind it. The necklace is available in the Pyramid at La Princesa de Cristal.
Solar Trash Can Parade
The solar trash can pandemic has almost entirely taken over the German pavilion, but is continuing to spread. There seems to have been a leak into the American pavilion. Last week I noticed that a lot more solar trash cans in the Germany pavilion. This week I noticed they not only multiply within the Germany pavilion, but have crossed international borders.
EPCOT Tiny Village Update
There isn’t much to report on in the tiny village in Germany. The sad children of the blue house have not moved a single centimeter and still look sad. The men continue to work with a sign in place, while the man in black just looks on. The boy and man seem to have finished loading up the wagon, so there is some progress.
There seems to have been an incident on the ledge where the men sit. One man on the far left pretends to not see anything, the man next to him can’t help but look, while the man in the blue seems oddly comfortable. This is all while another man has fallen over.
Otherwise, the other villagers and pets seem to be doing the same old same old.
Italy Pavilion Missing Lantern Glass
I noticed a few of the glass lanterns in the Italy pavilion were missing. This was more obvious in the pink lanterns than the clear ones, but I do wonder what might have happened to have these missing. Hopefully nothing was damaged and it was a planned removal. As always stay tuned, and you will likely get an update here when something changes.
Portraits of Courage Moment
I think it is nice that there is a space in EPCOT dedicated to America. I feel like Sam Eagle, but I do think it is important to include American heritage with the other represented countries. I really love that Disney has molded this space into a gallery of the Portraits of Courage. President Bush may not be my favorite artist, but the gallery is nice and what it stands for is powerful and worth appreciation
EPCOT Solar Trash Can Parade Continues
Ah! See? The solar trash cans have spread to the America pavilion. I only found four, but I am sure they will continue to spread. I sound upset. I am not. I just don’t want to see less custodial cast. They are the go-to cast member for directions and general help when you can’t get to Guest Relations or Guest Experience.
Also side note. No one has bought Figment yet. What the heck? The price is steep at $8,000.00, but it’s a one-of-a-kind.
Japan Pavilion Construction Walls
New walls have popped up in the Japan pavilion. You can still access the staircase to Katsura Grill. All I could see from the upstairs area was green scrim, so it is hard to make out what exactly they are working on here. There was a stand here at one point, and that is definitely gone. Let me know your theories in the comments below.
Still No Seat to Race Against the Sun
Race Against the Sun in the Morocco pavilion is still missing the driving chair. To be entirely honest with you though, I think this whole thing is rather silly. You can’t control the car – you can only sit on the driver’s side and pretend to. It’s strange, but maybe I’m asking for too much from a museum setup.
Crest and Crown Disney Channel and Taylor Swift Update
In the United Kingdom pavilion, the Crest and Crown shop is where you can find your family crest and have it framed like the ones above. That’s what most normal folks do in there, but when you’re a regular you start to catch on to little things that the cast do to keep themselves entertained.
In the Crest and Crown shop, they change the display crests every so often, and it’s rarely something dull. This newest edition includes Taylor Swift, Wizards of Waverly Place, Lizzie McGuire, Hannah Montana, and the Tiptons from Suite Life of Zack and Cody. I was a big fan of the Disney Channel references from my childhood.
Rose and Crown Taps Are Back Inside
Sing your favorite pub song, because the taps are back on inside the Rose and Crown Pub. A few weeks ago we reported that the taps had been moved outside for some light refurbishment at the interior bar. But all is back to normal and ready to roll, which is awesome with the rainy weather lately.
EPCOT Rainy Day POV
Today is one of the days I remind myself to not take a moment of life for granted. Even on a rainy day that would typically be gross, there is beauty and fun to be found if you want to find it.
I hope you enjoyed our rainy on-and-off day in EPCOT. Let me know in the comments below if you have a favorite find or moment from today’s adventure. My favorite moment was reviewing Grab-N-Goof with Nana. Even if the food maybe isn’t worth running to EPCOT for.
