Inside, guests can watch the 3.5 minute short film, The Last Verse, about a previously unreleased verse for “it’s a small world.” The film debuted in fall 2024 and can be watched below.

Main Street Cinema features a Sherman Brothers Tribute for “A New Verse” of “it’s a small world” at Disneyland 70.

A slide explains the verse to guests.

In 2023, Richard Sherman of the famed Sherman Brothers songwriting duo wrote a new verse to the iconic “it’s a small world.” This final verse builds upon the song’s hopeful message of peace across all humankind.

The verse will also be added to the finale scene of “it’s a small world” starting on July 17. It was penned by Richard Sherman as his last Disney project, intended for the ride’s 60th anniversary. The verse’s lyrics are:

“Mother earth unites us in heart and mind
And the love we give makes us humankind
Through our vast wondrous land
When we stand hand in hand
It’s a small world after all.”
