Thanks to @bioreconstruct on X, we can compare an aerial view of the construction at the upcoming Lakeshore Lodge to photos taken from the ground as several additional A-frame cabins and roofing structures are taking shape.
Disney Lakeshore Lodge Construction

From this aerial view, we can see just how large the next Disney Vacation Club resort, Disney Lakeshore Lodge will be. All three “wings” and courtyard area are taking shape as construction continues,

Crew members continue to work on a ninth floor at the resort building’s tallest points, with cranes moving in materials. This section of the resort is beginning to see framing for doors and future balconies. More sheathing and air and water barrier is also being added as work progresses.

We saw several crew members hard at work during this trip to check on construction. Several were working to move steel trusses into place, possibly to prepare for the tenth floor.

Through the foliage, we could see additional work on the rear side of the upcoming resort. Sliding glass doors have been added to several rooms in one section. However, the structure to the far right is still in the beginning stages of room framing.

In our last update, we noted that a fourth A-frame had been installed between the main building and Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort. The frames appear to be for cabins, as seen in Reflections – A Disney Lakeside Lodge concept art. Disney Lakeshore Lodge replaces Reflections, but appears to be using some of the same plans.

In addition to the A-frames already in place, there are foundational elements ready for more cabins, with several other cabins taking shape on the other side of the resort (see photo below).

As seen in this aerial look at construction, seven more A-frame cabin structures are in-progress on the opposite side of the resort. A space is open for a potential eighth cabin, as well. While the cabins located nearest Clementine Beach have a lake view, these could potentially have a woods and lake view, depending on if this is their final location and progression of construction around them.

The wing of the building closest to the cabins now has sheathing on the first floor and prep work to begin wrapping the second and third floor has begun. Additional windows and sliding glass doors have also been installed on the exterior of several rooms.

Although permits suggest the resort will be 10 stories high upon completion, it does appear that roofing frames are being added to the section of the building closest to Clementine Beach, so some of the structure may be tiered to a lower level.

From this angle, you can see those roofing supports compared to the height of other sections of the structure.

More sliding glass doors have also been installed on this side of the resort as seen from Daniel Boone’s Wilderness Arcade at Fort Wilderness Resort. Through the windows and openings, the frames of future walls are visible on some floors.
Disney Lakeshore Lodge replaces the previously announced Reflections – A Disney Lakeside Lodge.
The former planned Disney Vacation Club resort was announced in 2018. Disney demolished their old water park, River Country, to make space. Construction was put on hold in 2020, however, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Construction resumed late last year before Disney announced Disney Lakeshore Lodge, a new DVC resort set to open in 2027. Like Reflections, it will be “inspired by the majesty of nature and its enduring influence on Disney artists.”
