- With the closure of the Frontierland station and the Walt Disney World Railroad operating in shuttle mode, we decided to take a last look at the full loop around Magic Kingdom prior to the extended construction.
- Following the closure of the Rivers of America at Magic Kingdom, the Walt Disney World Railroad has begun its “shuttle mode” operations due to the upcoming expansion of Frontierland.
- Disney has announced that alongside Disneyland, the Walt Disney World version of “it’s a small world” will also debut new finale scene lyrics this month.
- Walt Disney World updated its My Disney Experience mobile app last night to remove Rivers of America and Tom Sawyer Island from the Magic Kingdom map, as well as show the new modified route for the Walt Disney World Railroad.
- In addition to updating the map for Magic Kingdom on My Disney Experience, Walt Disney World has also released a new guidemap for the park that no longer features the recently shuttered Rivers of America, Tom Sawyer Island, and the Liberty Square Riverboat.
- Construction walls and rolling planters now block the docks of the Rivers of America at Magic Kingdom as demolition work begins.Tom Sawyer Island at Magic Kingdom closed permanently to make way for a “Cars” expansion to Frontierland — take a final look at the details of the island, which opened on May 20, 1973.
- The Liberty Square Riverboat in Magic Kingdom is now closed as Rivers of America and Tom Sawyer Island are transformed into a “Cars” area — take a last look at the boat and experience.
EPCOT

- The Donald Duck meet and greet at the Mexico pavilion of EPCOT has reopened now that construction walls are down from around the space.

- Almost two years after Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser permanently closed, Disney has finally covered one of the hotel’s directional signs.
New Merchandise

- DINOSAUR at Disney’s Animal Kingdom is permanently closing in 2026, but fans can now get some commemorative merchandise for the thrill ride.
- The third series of Pandora charms inspired by different EPCOT World Showcase pavilions was released this month.
- 52 new Haunted Mansion merchandise items have arrived at Walt Disney World in a new Ghost Host collection.

- A new “Fall Vibes” tee has arrived at Disneyland, adding to the few items that previously arrived for the Halloween Season.

- Guests at the Tokyo Disney Resort can purchase new Baymax Capsule Toys.

- Perhaps a ghost will follow you home from the coffee shop, as a new Haunted Mansion wallpaper Starbucks Tumbler has debuted online from the Disney Store.
- A new Pirates of the Caribbean Peg-Leg Pete shoulder plush has flown into stock online from the Disney Store.
- A huge new Haunted Mansion merchandise collection is now online at the Disney Store.
