Along with additional roofing and sliding glass doors, the future entrance to Disney Lakeshore Lodge is beginning to take shape.
Lakeshore Lodge Construction Update
Approaching from Bay Lake, we got a look at the continued work on the furthest section of the new resort. As with our last update, there are still several cranes moving materials as more sheathing, air and water barriers, windows, and doors are being installed.

The shortest section of this wing is still missing windows, although work continues on several of the balcony areas outside of each room.

With even more roofing construction and framing, it is likely that all floors of the upcoming resort have been constructed, leaving a tiered-level look to the facade.
Several crew members worked on multiple levels as we passed by. A large section of roof framing has been installed at the highest point of this particular wing.

Moving along, we spied one of the A-frame cabins through the trees and brush; however, not much has changed with these structures in the last few weeks. We also spotted continued work on the new dock for the resort.

Previously, there were several sections of construction with orange-framed netting, providing an extra safety measure for crew members. Now, it looks like enough temporary balcony structures are in place to protect the crew from accidentally falling in most areas. More sliding glass doors continue to be added to guest rooms.

In our last update, we also noted that a new steel structure had begun to take shape. This is potentially the future location of a lakefront bar or restaurant. It is located very close to the shore, but some of the trees would need to be removed to provide a true “lakefront” view. It appears that more horizontal beams have been added to the framing.

Moving closer to Clementine Beach, four A-frame cabins still stand. These were also originally designed for Reflections – A Disney Lakeside Lodge, but have remained a part of the new plan. Not much work has been completed on these structures in the last couple of weeks.

With construction mainly focused on roofing and exterior additions, this wing of the resort has seen substantial changes, including more sliding glass doors, windows, and awning structures.

Most notably, it appears the entrance to Lakeshore Lodge is beginning to take shape between the two sections of the resort. The steel structures are beginning to resemble the shape of the concept art (shown below).
Compared to the art, the framing is very similar in shape, although the concept looks to be extended outward. We will keep an eye on the progress to see how similar the final product will be to this concept art.
Past the A-frames nearest Clementine Beach and scaffolding against the building, more protective materials have been added to the section of the resort shown above.
On the side facing Daniel Boone’s Wilderness Arcade at Fort Wilderness Resort, most, if not all, of the sliding glass doors have been installed.

Work also continues on the awning and elevator shaft for this section of the building that looms over guest-facing buildings at Fort Wilderness Resort. Disney likely wants this section of the resort completed first due to how visible it is to guests.
Disney demolished their old water park, River Country, to make space for the new resort. Construction was put on hold in 2020, however, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Construction resumed late last year before the official announcement of Disney Lakeshore Lodge, a new DVC resort set to open in 2027.
Like Reflections, it will be “inspired by the majesty of nature and its enduring influence on Disney artists.” No new concept art has been specifically shared for Lakeshore Lodge, but so far, the construction progress greatly resembles the old art for Reflections.
