Universal Helios Grand Hotel, Miss Piggy, and More Disney & Universal Wins From 2025 Las Culturistas Culture Awards

Disney and Universal earned several nominations and took home some wins at the 4th annual Las Culturistas Culture Awards. The parody awards ceremony is spun off from the Las Culturistas podcast hosted by Bowen Yang and Matt Rogers.

Universal Helios Grand Hotel at Epic Universe won Most Iconic Building or Structure, beating the Gobi tent at Coachella, The Coney Island Cyclone, Lumon Headquarters in Severance, and the mirror house during Lady Gaga’s SNL performance of Abracadabra. Check out our full tour of the officially iconic hotel, plus our tours of a Celestial Suite, King Suite, Presidential Suite, and a regular two queen beds room.

Tár and Nutty Professor II: The Klumps tied for Best Movie of All Time, defeating Pixar’s The Incredibles, as well as A Star is Born (2017) and Gagachella Bootleg from Videomoon.cn. Maybe Incredibles 3 will take home the award in a few years.

“Miss Piggy defending herself using the art of karate” lost the Filet Mignon Award for Best Beef to Benito Skinner for Overcompensating. Miss Piggy also lost The Greatest Showman award, for which Kermit the Frog was also nominated; Sutton Foster snagged that title. And Miss Piggy and Wicked lost the Titanic Award for Monoculture to rotisserie chicken.

However, Miss Piggy did snag the Artist of the Millennium award, beating out Mulan, Boop!, Pamela Anderson, and Jack Antonoff.

Wicked was nominated in several categories. Harshest Truth about Wicked went to “Pfannee not realized, we don’t get into his gay story (what was that like?  Was it hard coming out or was Pfannee born wealthy? Prequel idea about this.)” Las Culturistas’ host Yang portrayed Pfannee, Glinda’s friend.

The Defying Gravity intro performed by Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo lost Most Iconic Exchange of Words to “High Body Count Hair” by Angie Katsanevas. The song’s battle cry, performed by Erivo, also lost Best Note Ever Song to “Sometiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiimes” from Charli XCX’s Rewind

RuPaul Charles won Best Laugh, beating Elphaba Thropp (and SpongeBob SquarePants). Demi Moore won Best Crier, beating Galinda Upland. Jonathan Bailey, who starred in Wicked as Prince Fiyero Tigelaar, lost Best Gay Guy – Famous to Andy Cohen.

Best City – Established went to “Oh, trust! Whatever city I’m in? I’m establishing connections… with the boys!” beating EPCOT at Walt Disney World.

Daisy Duck lost Best Damn Bird to the one Nelly Furtado is like, as well as the Santa Award for Being Unforgettable to Nintendo’s Toad.

Toad lost the Eva Longoria Award For Tiny Woman, Huge Impact to Quinta Brunson, who is in the upcoming Zootopia 2 as an animal therapist.

Grief of the Year went to “When we thought for a second the pervy lil bro died on White Lotus from the protein smoothie” and not Avatar 2: The Way of Water. The next Avatar sequel, Avatar: Fire and Ash, releases this holiday season.

The “DreamWorks moon with the boy on it who fishes” snagged the Moon Award for Shining Brightly.

DreamWorks’ Shrek lost the Hunger Games Award for Best Huge Franchise. The award instead went to Yo Gabba Gabba! Shrek, the character, also lost the Style Icon Award to Dr. Orna Guralnik. Also nominated for Style Icon was Dracula.

Speaking of Universal Monsters, Dr. Victoria Frankenstein — an original character from the Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment in Universal Epic Universe — was nominated in two categories but didn’t snag either award. The Famke Janssen Name Award instead went to Madison Beer, and the Best New Artist Award went to Gabby Windey.

Freakier Friday stars Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis weren’t nominated for any awards, but do each have a category named after them. Lindsay Lohan in Parent Trap Award for Twins Excellence went to Josh Sharp and Aaron Jackson in Dicks: The Musical. The Jamie Lee Curtis Award For Gusto, Enthusiasm And Individuality went to the book and gift shop Womencrafts Provincetown.

The dad from Inside Out lost the Daddy Award to the men of The Four Seasons.

Jeff Goldblum’s chest in Jurassic Park won the Most Amazing Impact In Film award. Goldblum was also nominated for The Greatest Showman.
