The second appearance of Mama Odie on Tiana’s Bayou Adventure in Magic Kingdom has been fixed after almost a year of not working.
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Effect Finally Fixed
Mama Odie appears twice on screens, then twice as an Audio-Animatronic. Guests first encounter her on a screen when she shrinks them down to find the Afro-Cuban band of frogs. She appears on another screen before the famous final lift hill, when she makes guests big again.
It’s this second screen that has been blank since at least January 2025. Guests still heard Mama Odie’s voice, but didn’t see her until they reached the top of the lift hill, where her animatronic greeted them. Above is a picture of that spot from last week, when the screen was still broken.
As of at least this Thursday, December 18, Mama Odie is back. Guests will see her and her snake, Juju, above the final lift when leaves magically spiral out of the way.
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at Magic Kingdom opened in June 2024 — meaning this effect has been broken for most of the ride’s existence. Watch our full ride POV below.
