In anticipation of a dip in temperatures mid-week for Central Florida, Universal has announced closures for Volcano Bay on the last two days of 2025.
Universal Volcano Bay Closing for Inclement Weather

Universal Orlando Resort has announced through their social media channels that Volcano Bay will be closed on Tuesday, December 30 and Wednesday, December 31.
Guests seeking additional park updates are encouraged to check the Universal Orlando Resort social media accounts or call 407-817-8317.
Volcano Bay was initially scheduled for closure on December 30 as part of its reduced seasonal hours. The additional closure on Wednesday, New Year’s Eve, is attributed to inclement weather as noted in Universal’s post on X.
According to Weather.com, Orlando will see a high of 59° F and a low of 39° F on Wednesday. Volcano Bay typically closes once expected temperatures reach the mid-60s.
Temperatures for the following days and the first weekend of 2026 are currently expected to rise, so no further closures are known or have been announced as of this writing.
