The Disney Destiny and Disney Fantasy briefly escorted the new Disney Adventure through the Bahamas this week.
Disney Adventure Sailing Through Bahamas
Disney Fantasy guests Aubree and Jared Soucy shared these photos of the Disney Adventure on the way to Freeport, Bahamas. The Adventure’s final destination is Singapore, which will be her home port.
The captains of the Destiny and Fantasy planned the meet-up. A ship-wide announcement let guests know they would be able to see the other two ships. Three Disney Cruise Line ships rarely encounter each other at sea, so it was a special opportunity for guests.
The Disney Adventure is traveling from Germany to Singapore for her maiden voyage that begins on March 10. The launch was delayed by three months and Walt Disney Imagineering spent almost double their original budget retrofitting the ship, which began its life as the Global Dream. She was commissioned by Genting Hong Kong’s Dream Cruises, but the company went bankrupt before the Global Dream’s completion. Disney Cruise Line then acquired her in 2022.
The Adventure will be Disney’s largest cruise ship, accommodating about 6,000 passengers. It will sail exclusively out of Singapore. Features include a Storybook Castle in the Imagination Garden atrium, a Captain Jack Sparrow show, a Duffy and Friends show, and Marvel rides.
