Disney's Typhoon Lagoon & Universal's Volcano Bay Closings This Week

Universal’s Volcano Bay and Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon water parks are both facing various closures this week.

There are no hours listed for Universal Volcano Bay today due to inclement weather, per the park website. The water park is also previously scheduled to be closed tomorrow (January 21) and Thursday (January 22), but is set to reopen on Friday (January 23).

Today’s high temperature in Orlando is only supposed to reach 64°F, according to The Weather Channel.

Meanwhile, Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon has been closed since January 12. It is currently scheduled to be open tomorrow (January 21); however, it will be closed again on Thursday (January 22).

It is common for water parks in the area to close for low temperatures during the winter months. Volcano Bay last closed on New Year’s Eve due to the weather, and both Volcano Bay and Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon closed in mid-December as well.
