A special keepsake button during the upcoming Lunar New Year Celebration features Horace Horsecollar. It’s exclusively available for Magic Key Holders.
Horace Horsecollar Button
The button has a red background with lanterns and medallions. Horace Horsecollar is on the left side of the button, holding a lantern. Right below Horace’s hand is the Magic Key logo with Disneyland written underneath. Beside the horse, Lunar New Year 2026 is written inside a yellow circle.
The complimentary button will be available for pickup with presentation of a Magic Key pass under Silly Symphony Swings in Paradise Gardens Park from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. each day from Friday, January 23 to Monday, January 26, 2026, while supplies last.
Horace Horsecollar
Horace Horsecollar is one of the earliest Disney characters created in 1929 and served as Mickey’s sidekick in Disney’s early black-and-white shorts. Though typically a supporting character in his earlier roles, he was given significant screen time in the cartoons The Beach Party (1931) and Camping Out (1934). In recent years, he has been seen in Mickey Mouse shorts, and Mickey and the Roadster Racers.
Guests visiting during the Lunar New Year celebration (January 23– February 22) can also meet him in Disney California Adventure along with Panda Mei and other special characters.
Lunar New Year 2026
The Year of the Horse will be celebrated with tributes to Chinese, Korean, and Vietnamese cultures. This event is included in park admission, but some offerings are an additional cost.
