Panda Mei is meeting at Disney California Adventure for Lunar New Year 2026, as well as Horace Horsecollar and several other characters.
Lunar New Year 2026 Characters
Panda Mei
Location: Pixar Pier Bandshell

This is the first time guests can meet Mei in her full red panda form. She met in half-transformed human form, along with her mother, during previous Lunar New Year celebrations. She does not sign autographs for this meet and greet.

Horace Horsecollar
Location: Grizzly Peak

Horace Horsecollar is one of the earliest Disney characters created in 1929 and served as Mickey’s sidekick in Disney’s early black-and-white shorts. Though typically a supporting character in his earlier roles, he was given significant screen time in the cartoons The Beach Party (1931) and Camping Out (1934). In recent years, he has been seen in Mickey Mouse shorts, and Mickey and the Roadster Racers.
For this meet and greet, he’s donning a Chinese-style red tunic with gold trim and cloud designs. He wears a jade necklace, which traditionally symbolizes luck, protection, and prosperity.
Donald & Daisy
Location: Grizzly Peak


Donald and Daisy wear Chinese-inspired hanfu styles for their Lunar New Year meet and greet. The outfits, which are both red, are similar to Horace Horsecollar’s costume. They featured gold metallic and cloud embroidery, as well as pankou knot closures. Daisy wears a flower on her bow.


Donald and Daisy meet on alternating days with Goofy and Clarabelle. The schedule is for Daisy and Donald to meet on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.
Goofy & Clarabelle
Location: Grizzly Peak

Wearing Vietnamese-inspired aó dài outfits, Goofy and Clarabelle are also out and about greeting guests during the festival. Goofy’s outfit is green with ancient coin motifs, and Clarabelle’s is pink. She wears a jade bracelet.
Goofy and Clarabelle meet on Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. They meet together for their first two sets an then switch off individually for the rest of the day.
Lunar New Year 2026

The Lunar New Year 2026 festivities take place at Disney California Adventure Park from January 23 to February 22, 2026. The Year of the Horse will be celebrated with tributes to Chinese, Korean, and Vietnamese cultures. This event is included in park admission, but some offerings are an additional cost.
