After meeting in half-panda form alongside her mother at former festivals, Mei from Turning Red has officially gone full red panda for her new solo meet and greet at Lunar New Year 2026 in Disney California Adventure.

Red Panda Mei Meet and Greet

Making her meet and greet debut, Red Panda Mei can be found at the Pixar Pier Bandshell. While her times are not officially listed on the Disneyland website, be sure to check the app for her appearance schedule.

Panda Mei appears in her oversized plush panda form with a long striped tail, fluffy white ears and cheeks, gradating red fur, and big broad smile. As befitting her 13-year-old self, she is super excited and happy to celebrate Lunar New Year with everyone!

Note that Mei unfortunately does not sign autographs. However, the other Lunar New Year 2026 characters do.

Mei at Previous Lunar New Year Festivals

While her panda form is new, Mei has previously appeared at Lunar New Year festivals with her mother Ming Lee. However, they would meet by Grizzly Peak and Mei would appear half-transformed with only her red panda tail and ears. Her mother would wear the Tamagotchi amulet containing her panda.
