The short-form series from the hit Zombies franchise is releasing new episodes every Saturday through mid-April.
“Zombies” Vampires Ray and Vera Misadventures in Locker Diaries

Zombies: The Locker Diaries is a short-form digital spin-off series that premiered on Disney Channel’s YouTube platform. It’s the first series in Disney’s new initiative to produce more mobile-oriented vertical-form content.
Presented as vlog-style entries recorded by characters from Seabrook High, the series offers additional character development and comedic moments between the events of the main films. The episodes are typically brief and structured around direct-to-camera monologues, giving viewers insight into the characters’ personal perspectives.
The format allows for expanded world-building within the Zombies universe while maintaining quick, accessible pacing. The Locker Diaries complements the larger narrative arcs of the films and serves to fill the gaps between those more major narrative installments.
In the latest episode, Zombies 4 characters Ray and Vera stumble into an awkward body-swap situation after toying with a mysterious crystal found in Rey’s locker. Some brief shenanigans ensue as they struggle to think of a way out of their Freaky Friday-esque dilemma.

Disney Channel’s Hit Zombies Series
Disney’s Zombies franchise is a musical TV film series produced by Disney Channel that blends teen romance, comedy, and supernatural themes. The series debuted with Zombies in 2018, followed by Zombies 2 in 2020, Zombies 3 in 2022, and Zombies 4 in 2025.
Set in the fictional town of Seabrook, the films center on the integration of different groups—initially humans and zombies—within a high school environment.
The first film follows zombie student Zed Necrodopolis as he enrolls at Seabrook High, where he forms a relationship with human cheerleader Addison Wells. The sequel introduces werewolves as a new marginalized group seeking acceptance, while the third film expands the story further with the arrival of extraterrestrials. The latest film introduces one more supernatural archetype to the mix: vampires.
The characters of Vera, Ray, and Nova, featured in the new Locker Diaries short, are all vampires themselves, having debuted last year in Zombies 4.
Since the series debut in 2018, the films have become one of Disney Channel’s (and consequently Disney+’s) most commercially successful musical properties of the late 2010s and early 2020s.
