Boom Lifts Up at Cinderella Castle

For the first time since the repainting project began for Cinderella Castle, boom lifts are are up and visible in front of guests while crews actively paint.

The boom lifts are on both sides of Cinderella Castle this morning, February 27. We noticed them as soon as we walked into the park, despite it being a foggy morning.

Crews are up working near the top of the castle on the front and sides. We noticed these boom lifts parked in the empty moat just two days ago, which was the first indication we would see them in action soon.

For the first time since the repainting project began for Cinderella Castle, boom lifts are are up and visible in front of guests while crews actively paint.

There is also a scaffolding platform and stairs to make it easier for crew members to get to the lifts. Though painting has been underway for a month, construction vehicles have not been visible to guests until now.

Disney has said that cranes will be lowered and out of sight by noon each day. We did notice the cranes were back in the moat by 10:00 am today, February 27. Work is expected to be completed by later this year.
