More Scrim Added to The Haunted Mansion Facade at Disney World

Refurbishment work continues around The Haunted Mansion as additional scrim has been added around the building’s facade in Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World. This follows Disney filing two permits for construction at the ride and then clearing the lawn of shrubs and trees.

Last week, we reported scrim being added around the lower part of The Haunted Mansion facade. Now we see that more scrim has been added to that, increasing its height around the building. From the front entrance, as you can see above, most of the left side and half of the front are now obscured.

From the PhotoPass spot in front of the attraction, we could only see the top half of the front of the facade as well as the top of the left-facing tower.

At certain angles, the scrim is semitransparent, allowing us to see the shape of the building's facade but obscuring the details.

Scaffolding went up in the queue’s graveyard in January. More scaffolding covered in green scrim went up on the lawn soon after and was expanded. The Haunted Mansion remains open and operational.
