Haunted Mansion Facade at Magic Kingdom Covered by Scaffolding & Scrim

Scaffolding and scrim now cover the lower part of The Haunted Mansion facade at Magic Kingdom. This follows Disney filing two permits for construction at the ride and then clearing the lawn of shrubs and trees.

Scaffolding went up in the queue’s graveyard earlier this month. More scaffolding covered in green scrim went up on the lawn soon after and then was expanded. It now extends from the graveyard all the way around the front of the mansion to the exit.

The scaffolding is currently covered in plain green scrim but may be replaced by themed scrim resembling the mansion. The work is reportedly for a slight extension of the facade on the graveyard side.

The picture above taken from Frontierland shows the scaffolding continuing into the trees behind the building. The scaffolding in the graveyard, which is where guests enter the ride, is taller than the scaffolding across the front of the mansion.

The Haunted Mansion remains open and operational. Watch our 4K ride POV below.
