Crews recently removed the wait time signs from Star Wars Launch Bay, and now more of the façade is being removed. The courtyard is being reimagined into The Walt Disney Studios, inspired by the real studio lot in Burbank, California.
Star War Launch Bay Façade

Red scrim went up around the building earlier this month, and it looks torn up as crews continue to work on this area of the facade.

Some type of heavy machinery is stationed right outside the building, but we did not see any workers present actively completing construction.

Closer to the show building of the former Disney Junior Play and Dance is a lift, but again, no workers were present, so we couldn’t see what exactly was being worked on.
The Magic of Disney Animation

The design is based on the real Roy E. Disney Animation Building in Burbank, California. The courtyard is being transformed into the Walt Disney Studios lot, including more green spaces.
Animation Courtyard is set to reopen this summer with The Magic of Disney Animation and a new Disney Jr. show. Plus, six new characters will also meet in this space. Disney recently filed a permit for the new Animation Courtyard signs.
