As crews are repaving Animation Courtyard at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, the awning and wait time signs have been removed. The courtyard is being reimagined into The Walt Disney Studios, inspired by the real studio lot in Burbank, California.
Star War Launch Bay Wait Time Signs Removed

As visible in the pictures, the former wait time signs and awning have been completely removed on the front side of the building. We saw a red scrim go up around the building a few days ago, which appears to have been rolled up when our reporter took pictures.

The trees, which were planted a weeks ago, can be seen on the right side of the photo. For reference, here is what it looked like before.
The Magic of Disney Animation

The design is based on the real Roy E. Disney Animation Building in Burbank, California. The courtyard is being transformed into the Walt Disney Studios lot, including more green spaces. The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure was repainted a few weeks ago.
Animation Courtyard is set to reopen this summer with The Magic of Disney Animation and a new Disney Jr. show. Disney recently filed a permit for the new Animation Courtyard signs.
