More Perimeter Fence Posts Installed Near Future Coco Ride at Disney California Adventure

More tall posts for a new perimeter fence have been installed around the site of a new Coco attraction at Disney California Adventure. Last week, we reported on the first several posts being installed along Disneyland Drive.

The Coco ride is going right behind Incredicoaster, with the entrance between Paradise Gardens Park and Pixar Pier. Being a slight expansion to the park, a new perimeter fence is necessary. The installation follows a permit Disney filed in December for a new 727-foot-long and 16-foot-high fence with a gate.

Since our last update, posts have been added in front of the backstage road leading off Disneyland Dr. This road will presumably be demolished as part of the ride’s construction. There is a gap between one post and a nearby street light, which could be where a backstage gate will eventually go.

Construction began about a month ago with crew members clearing some of the land. It seems the fence will be completed before construction of the ride itself begins.

Coco Ride

Disney hasn’t announced much about the Coco ride, just that guests will follow Miguel into the Land of the Dead, hear some of the movie’s iconic music, and see skeletal Audio-Animatronics characters. The concept art indicates it will be a boat ride.
