Crews continue to focus on the blue roofing of Cinderella Castle at Magic Kingdom, painting over the 50th anniversary color scheme to restore the castle’s original look.
Cinderella Castle Painting

Crew members have been working in the early mornings. On Friday, March 20, we saw several in lifts on the east and west sides of the castle.

On the east side, a pair of crew members were painting one of the smaller turrets. Though the differences in blue shades can be hard to see, the new paint is definitely brighter than the old.

A roof near the center of the castle has a patch of much darker blue covering part of its light blue zig-zag details.

One of the towers on the front of the castle has white spots. These are apparently from crew members stripping away paint for the fresh color. It looks like these white spots might have already been painted over but still need some more layers.

Crew members on the west side of the castle appeared to be working on a section of roof between towers.

Other crew members were on the castle ramparts lower down.

Another dark patch of bright blue paint is visible on a roof in the center of this picture.

In the photo above, the tower on the right has a few drastically different shades of blue. The darker color around the top half of the roof is the newer color.

The walls on the balcony of the tallest tower remain pale pink.
