Crews are continuing to repaint Cinderella Castle at Magic Kingdom, restoring its classic color scheme.
Cinderella Castle Repainting

Cinderella Castle was painted pink, royal blue, gold, and dark gray for its 50th anniversary. Most of the pink paint has been covered with a light gray-cream color. Much of the gold trim has also been painted over with a similar gray shade.

Crews have now moved to the blue roofing. The castle’s original color scheme featured a lighter shade of almost teal blue. The 50th anniversary royal blue was darker with a slightly purple tint.

The speckling visible on some of the turrets is from the current shade of blue apparently being chipped off.
At the bottom of the blue roof in the center of the above photo, you can actually see multiple shades of blue. It’s a little unclear what is from fresh paint and what is due to natural fading.

A closer look at where a crew member was working seems to reveal a patch of brighter blue paint. It doesn’t look quite as light as the castle’s old blue but it’s hard to be sure.

This roof between two towers was also being worked on. Again, where the painter is working appears brighter although not drastically different from the royal blue shade.

On the other side of the castle, crew members were working on two more turrets on Monday morning, March 16. These towers don’t have as much chipping.

One roof near the center of the castle has a much lighter shade of blue around the base and right side, but it looks a little splotchy. It may need more shades.
The turret on the right in the above photo also has at least two different shades of blue visible.

The walls at the top of the tallest tower are still pink. As well as being the highest part of the castle, this is where Tinker Bell takes off during Happily Ever After fireworks, so there may be safety concerns when it comes to repainting. We don’t think Disney will leave it pink, they’ll just have to paint it when there’s time for it to fully dry before Tink needs the balcony.
