The only pink remaining on Cinderella Castle at Magic Kingdom is at the very top of the tallest tower.
Cinderella Castle Painting

The castle is being restored to its original blue and gray color scheme. Though the paint job may look near completion, crews have yet to repaint the roofing or the lower half of the castle.
The roofing is currently royal blue but the original shade was much lighter. The lower half of the castle was also a lighter shade of gray.

On Wednesday morning, March 11, there were several painters in lifts working around the castle. One near the front of the castle was painting some of the gold trim light gray. The castle has always had some gold detailing, but more was added with the 50th anniversary color scheme.

Since our Monday update, the wall at the back of the castle balcony has been painted gray.

The bulk of the tallest tower has also been painted. It’s where the most pink was still visible on the castle a few days ago.

That tower is also where the only pink remains. The walls at the very top, below the golden spire, are still pink. This is where Tinker Bell flies from each evening during the Happily Ever After fireworks show.

It’s possible that section was saved for last not only because it’s the highest part of the castle but to ensure equipment was out of Tink’s way as much as possible.

There were a few sections of pink on the west side and back of the castle a few days ago but these have been painted over. Crew members in a lift on the west side appeared to be putting the finishing touches on that area.

For reference, above is the castle prior to the 50th anniversary painting and immediately after. It’s looking much more like the first photo than the second.
