As Disney gears up this week for Josh D’Amaro becoming CEO officially on March 18, he and future CFO Dana Walden took to the red carpet of the 98th Academy Awards.

The interviewers in the clip mention the nominees for Disney before asking them what it is about the brand of storytelling that is so universal and timeless.

Josh D’Amaro starts by saying they have “the best creators in the world”, “pushing boundaries on storytelling,” and that he is “Exceptionally proud of this team.”
Dana Walden then continues by saying, “It’s true…. It’s been over a hundred years of people loving these stories. And of course, our originals like Hoppers, which just premiered.”

The attraction advertises the display with a stand and notably did not change its marquee. This could mean the display might not stick around that long after the Oscars have passed.

The interviewers then congratulate Josh on becoming CEO before asking him about the legacy of Walt Disney, being the person who won the most Oscars in history, as he takes on his new role.
“We have a huge legacy at the Walt Disney Company, which I’m just tremendously honored about,” Josh responds.
“I’ve been at the company for 27 years now. So, it means a lot to me. It’s something that I definitely want to protect and then just keep pushing into that next chapter, always innovating and thinking of new creative that’s going to resonate for new generations all around the world. So I am having fun.”
