Dumpo the Flying Dumpster Spotted at Piston Peak National Park

Crews continue to extend the retaining wall in the Piston Peak National Park construction site at Magic Kingdom. We also spotted Dumpo, the flying dumpster, again!

Piston Peak National Park Construction

Crews continue to extend the retaining wall in the Piston Peak National Park construction site at Magic Kingdom.

Additional sections have been added to the wall closer to Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. There are two distinct sections, sticking out of the wall’s tallest spot. Between the two sections is a metal frame.

The wall runs in front of a pre-existing backflow assembly. In the distance, behind some trees, are several large blue pipes staged for installation. They may be for new water management systems in the area.

Crews continue to add metal framing to the side of the retaining wall facing Frontierland. Rather than being a new land, Piston Peak is an extension of Frontierland replacing Rivers of America and Tom Sawyer Island.

We also saw our old favorite Dumpo the Flying Dumpster in the construction site near the Liberty Square Riverboat Landing, though it wasn’t flying as high as it has in the past.
