Production Work Continues for New Bluey Show

Fantasyland Theatre changes underway for Bluey Stage Show

Work has been progressing steadily on the new Bluey stage show coming to Disneyland’s Fantasyland Theatre.

During a recent visit to the park, we noticed construction work on and around the theatre area has reached a notable milestone: the standard signage for Fantasyland Theatre has been removed.

The distinct wooden emblem featuring a pair of stylized drama masks and the rectangular theater sign have both been removed, leaving a blank space between hanging lanterns on the wooden archway at the theatre entrance.

For comparison, you can see how the theatre entrance has historically appeared below:

As for the stage itself, the new set design appears to be moving along at a solid pace. Since our last visit to the theatre, additional “sky” screens have been added over center stage.

Assuming there are no changes to the construction timeline, the new Bluey stage show will debut in just under two weeks on March 22.

‘Bluey’s Best Day Ever!’ Coming to Disneyland Resort

Beginning March 22, 2026, and continuing through the year, “Bluey’s Best Day Ever!” will transform the Fantasyland Theatre into the grounds of Bluey’s school, where guests can join the fun of Bluey’s “best day ever”.

Throughout the day, Bluey and her sister Bingo will appear live on stage, joining a troupe of comedic actors and musicians. Guests can step into the fair at Bluey’s school with the Grannies, Chattermax, Unicorse and delight in themed foods at Troubadour Tavern.

A permit was also recently filed for new signage at the Fantasyland Theatre for the upcoming show.

Bluey’s New Appearances Across Disney Experiences

Bluey and Bingo meet and greet character experience

Bluey is an Australian animated children’s television series that premiered in 2018. Created by Joe Brumm and produced by Ludo Studio, the show follows Bluey, a six-year-old Blue Heeler puppy, and her family, including her younger sister Bingo and their parents, Bandit and Chilli. The series has been widely praised for its storytelling, parenting themes, and depiction of childhood imagination.

While produced in Australia and originally airing on ABC Kids, Bluey gained global popularity after being distributed internationally through Disney platforms, including Disney Channel, Disney Junior, and Disney+. The show has become one of the most-streamed children’s programs on Disney+, and its characters have expanded into merchandise, live stage shows, books, and interactive experiences around the world.

More recently, Bluey has appeared in domestic Disney Parks and cruise experiences as the show’s popularity has grown.
