First Order Cargo Props Replaced for Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge Timeline Shift

First Order Cargo’s transformation into Black Spire Surplus has begun at Disneyland. The Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge shop is changing as part of the land’s timeline shift.

When changes began, the store was still listed as First Order Cargo in the Disneyland app and still had First Order banners framing its entrance. As of April 29, the store is officially Black Spire Surplus.

The formerly sleek and pristine shelving units are now weathered. Various props were replaced. The store’s weathered walls and lighting all appear to be the same.

The shelving units at the front of the store are now gray and orange with rust details. The mounted blaster has been painted black with weathering making it look old.

An Imperial Royal Guard cowl was later added next to the blaster. It sits atop a metal support.

Other shelving units in the store have been given similar weathering details and draped with camo netting. The Stormtrooper helmets, blasters, and clean white and black crates atop the units have been mostly replaced.

By the entrance, the yellow Scout trooper helmet worn by Ezra Bridger in Star Wars Rebels can be spotted. It’s alongside some other helmets, pieces of Stormtrooper gear, and crates.

Other pilot helmets added to the shelves above the merchandise include a Tank Trooper helmet from Rogue One (far right). The yellow symbol on a nearby crate is the High Republic crest.

Where there was previously a full Stormtrooper suit on display there is now a boxy prop. It’s some kind of padded item with straps wrapped around it and tubing on top. Glass was removed from the front of the display case and it received a metal hexagonal lining.

More helmets have been added among a variety of beat-up black crates featuring Imperial, Rebel, and Inferno Squad logos. One of the new helmets was utilized by Shore Troopers in Rogue One. The pristine white Imperial helmet on top contrasts with the other dusty stormtrooper helmets.

There are a couple of MSE-6 “mouse” droids hidden among the junk. Some of the helmets here are recreations of helmets worn by Rebel Troopers and Death Star Gunners. The Starbird symbol is on gray canisters while a nearby box features the Rogue One symbol.

Some tins hold what appear to be medical supplies, while the weathered walls and lighting all appear to be the same. A Phase 1 Clone Trooper helmet is covered in dirt, while a Mudtrooper (Solo) helmet is partially obscured. On top of a gray crate is Princess Leia's Boushh helmet.

The Rogue One symbol is on another crate here. A white lid features a wolf symbol, representing the “Wolfpack,” a clone trooper squad led by Jedi General Plo Koon and Clone Commander Wolffe.

For comparison, below are photos of First Order Cargo prior to the recent changes.

The store is now “a military salvage operation offering artifacts from across the history of the galaxy, including Imperial and Rebel items from the Galactic Civil War.” In the new backstory, it is operated by two retired Clone Troopers, one who sympathized with the Rebellion, and another who was a supporter of the Galactic Empire.

Half of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disneyland will be set during the original trilogy of Star Wars films while the Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance half will remain set during the sequels. The change officially went into effect on April 29, 2026.
