Moana: Call of the Sea is a musical show in the Disney Adventure’s Wayfinder Bay area that retells the heroine’s epic journey across the ocean.
Moana: Call of the Sea

Join Moana in an unforgettable musical adventure that brings the spirit of bravery, self-discovery, and friendship to life. This inspiring live show at Wayfinder Bay is set against the stunning open sky and sea—and features memorable music, spirited dance, and delightful puppetry. Space is limited, so be sure to arrive early to secure your seat.

At the beginning, the narrator is joined by dancers who enter the pool. The narrator starts explaining that, in the beginning, there was only the water until Te Fiti created islands and the voyagers started to set sail. But then Maui stole the heart of Te Fiti, and it was lost. That’s when the voyagers stopped exploring the ocean.

Then the narrator greets Moana, and they launch into familiar music from the film Moana. The dancers each play a role in Moana’s story, like her grandmother and Maui. She sets off on her famed journey to set sail and restore the heart of Te Fiti. That’s when she meets the demigod Maui.

Once Moana meets with Maui, the two set off on their journey together. A musical interlude with video effects and dance shows the treacherous nature of their open sea adventure.

Then they must save Maui’s hook and the heart of Te Fiti from Tamatoa, who collects shiny or important objects. When they retrieve the hook, Maui is still unable to transform into other beings and must find a way to get his power back, which he does with the encouragement of Moana.

Maui and Moana return to the sea when Maui’s hook is damaged, and he leaves. Once Moana reaches Te Kā, Maui returns, and together, they overcome the destructive being to return the heart and transform Te Kā back into Te Fiti.

Moana returns to her home island of Motunui, where she becomes her village’s master wayfinder. Maui departs, and Moana’s village becomes full of voyagers once again. They set sail to find a new island.

Wayfinder Bay is an open-air space tucked away on the upper deck at the back of the ship. This relaxing pool area features plush seating and views of the sea and sky.
Guests of all ages can cool off with a frosty beverage from Voyager Bar or hang out in the wading pool with a built-in sun shelf.
