The makeover of the former Muppets Courtyard at Disney’s Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World continues as the area makes room for Monstropolis. We can see more progress being made thanks to new aerial photos from bioreconstruct on X.
Monstropolis Updates
Since our last update of this section a few days ago, it does appear that some more of the façade of the former Gonzo’s Royal Flush restroom area has been removed. This is most evident on the far side of the wall that juts up against the former PizzeRizzo.

Several pieces of construction equipment and beams or other materials are stationed around the former Mama Melrose’s Ristorante Italiano. A few windows near the equipment and the former restaurant entrance are covered or boarded up.
Several piles of construction materials are laid out in front of the former entrance to MuppetVision 3D. We can also see the footprints of some of the roof elements removed from the MuppetVision and surrounding buildings in mid-February.
The building façades on either side of the toy store building have been stripped down to their frames. They are covered in plastic to protect them from the elements. The toy store façade appears mostly untouched except for a boarded-up doorway and window.
The inside of the PizzeRizzo patio seating area is still full of construction materials.
Outside of the former patio seating at PizzeRizzo, there are lighting fixtures awaiting installation. They appear to be streetlamps with some arched and straight post elements visible. There are also four square holes dug outside of the PizzeRizzo seating area. They appear to be prepped for concrete pouring.
