Crews have constructed a tall scaffolding structure next to the site of the future Tropical Americas carousel at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
Tropical Americas Construction

The scaffolding is yellow and red, standing out against the Encanto show building in the background. The scaffolding is much closer to the construction walls than the building, which is at the back of the construction site, in the distance.

The concrete foundation of the carousel is directly on the other side of the scaffolding.

This aerial photo by X user @bioreconstruct from March 13 gives a better sense of space. The concrete circle on the right is the carousel foundation, while the large building on the left is the Encanto building. The scaffolding wasn’t yet up when this photo was taken but we believe the scaffolding is in place to continue building the next level on the structures just to the right of the carousel.

As we reported a few days ago, Restaurantosaurus and Dino-Bite Snacks signs were removed from the quick-service building. Many props are also gone from the rooftop.
The wall under a gable roof on the exterior has been covered by a white sheet.

One Restaurantosaurus sign remains above the trailer that was marked for demolition.

Though dinosaur figures have been removed from above Dino-Bite Snacks, the sign reading “King Queen of the Dig” remains on a platform on the roof.
In the foreground of the above photo is the carousel foundation. The scaffolding is not visible from this angle, but is further to the right.
