Several updates are available on work at Disneyland Paris, as work continues on projects beyond the grand opening of World of Frozen on March 29, 2026.
Lion King Construction
DLP Works captured these aerial photos on March 2, 2026, and shared them on X (formerly Twitter). In what is likely the most exciting addition after World of Frozen, the foundation for the boat ride is being built across the full land. The upcoming Up attraction can be seen in the foreground, as it appears to have gone vertical quite quickly. Drop tests for the boat ride have been visible behind Cars: Road Trip for the past months.
The show building will be two levels, have exterior openings, and will be divided into four areas:
- exterior queue with thatched canopies
- the attraction itself, plus an indoor queue and loading/unloading areas
- a retail store
- technical and maintenance rooms for Cast Members
Landscape features will include newly-planted trees, stamped concrete to replicate the savanna, sculpted rock motifs, and more to give guests an immersive Pride Lands experience.
As visible from these pictures, one of the back walls of the queue has been fully erected. No opening timeframe has been announced for this attraction along Adventure Way.
At the entrance of the park, the guest services building has almost finished its refurbishments and is expected to open sometime this month.
Over at the castle park, Cowboy Cookout Barbecue continues its long refurbishment of the exterior seating. A few months ago, when one of our writers was visiting the park, something during this construction appeared to have gone wrong, as the entire western section of Frontierland was closed off for two days.
For the next long refurbishment, which continues, Fantasyland Station remains closed despite Meet Mickey Mouse having recently reopened after a refurbishment that started back in September 2025. The building appears to be in better shape, which might reopen before the spring holidays start across Europe.
Our last look is at the front of Disney Village, where the Disney Store appears to have been completely dismantled. The store will be renamed Disney Wonders and includes a reimagined interior “that will welcome all major Disney franchises under one roof.”
Last year, Disney Style, Disney Glamour, Petite Rosalie terrace restaurant, Deco by Disney, and a new LEGO Store opened. Italian restaurant Casa Giulia will open by the end of the year, which takes the place of the old Planet Hollywood. The brand-new McDonald’s at Disney Village in Disneyland Paris is now open, and the original location is closed.
Disney Adventure World

Walt Disney Studios Park has been undergoing significant changes and will be renamed Disney Adventure World when World of Frozen opens in 2026. This year, the updated World Premiere entrance will open. In addition to World of Frozen, the Adventure Bay expansion includes The Regal View Restaurant and Lounge, gardens, the “Tangled”-inspired Rapunzel Tangled Spin, and a new nighttime spectacular.
The park’s update also included a reimagining of the entrance space, now dubbed World Premiere.
