Tokyo Disney Resort Celebration Hotel will update the mural art in Discover rooms for the first time since opening. The new artwork will include characters and images representing Fantasy Springs and other new attractions.
New Discover Room Mural

The mural change will begin on September 1. All 350 rooms in Tokyo Disney Resort Celebration Hotel: Discover will get the new art, which spans the beds and sofa.
The art style is reminiscent of “it’s a small world.” At one end are Anna and Elsa in Arendelle, Captain Hook on his ship with Peter Pan and Tinker Bell flying, and Rapunzel in her tower — all representing the Fantasy Springs expansion to Tokyo DisneySea.
On the right side of the mural is Tokyo Disneyland’s brand-new Space Mountain, still under construction in Tomorrowland. Below the coaster building are Vanellope and Wreck-It Ralph in a race car, representing the Wreck-It Ralph ride also in the works at Tomorrowland.
The artwork is centered around a body of water. In the center are Donald and Daisy riding the Dream Flyer from Soarin’: Fantastic Flight, Hiro flying with Baymax, Chip ‘n’ Dale on Beaver Brothers Explorer Canoes, “it’s a small world” giraffes, a Jungle Cruise: Wildlife Expeditions boat, Lilo and Stitch surfing, the Genie, Arabian Coast, and Mount Prometheus.

The mural recycles some elements of the old mural, like Chip ‘n’ Dale in the canoe and Mount Prometheus. But it’s much brighter and more colorful. Elements of the old mural missing from the new one include elements of Indiana Jones Adventure: Temple of the Crystal Skull, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Splash Mountain.
Tokyo Disney Celebration Hotel started out as a pair of non-Disney hotels that were purchased and refurbished by the Oriental Land Company. They reopened in 2016 as the Tokyo Disney Celebration Hotel, split into two buildings: Wish and Discover. Wish is mostly inspired by Fantasyland, while Discover’s theming is more reflective of Adventureland and Tokyo DisneySea. It’s located outside of Tokyo Disney Resort but is their cheapest hotel.
