World Discovery Liquid Layer Splash Pad at EPCOT Closed

The splash pad at EPCOT in the World Discovery neighborhood is roped off and closed. The closure may be related to the recent cold weather in Orlando or a technical/mechanical issue.

The World Discovery Liquid Layer Splash Pad has been closed, we believe, since at least mid-February. Though our reporter noted on a visit today, March 3, that the water misters behind the splash pad are still operational. As of this morning, the splash pad is still surrounded by black stanchions.

We aren’t sure if the closure is related to a possible refurbishment or the weather. The splash pad reopened after a multi-week refurbishment in November 2023.
