A trio of banners representing the settlements of Batuu has replaced the old First Order flags following the timeline shift at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disneyland.

The Batuu settlement banners can be seen hanging over the Fantasyland-side entrance into Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, where tattered First Order banners used to hang.

While showing signs of slight wear from the elements, the banners are in otherwise good shape, an indication of the timeline in this area being earlier. From left to right, the settlements represented are:

  • Peka: a river community of fishers and farmers, some of whom bring their wares to Black Spire Outpost. Their banner is, fittingly, dark blue with lighter blue accents.
  • Surabat: a secluded settlement whose residents specialize in harvesting Golden Lichen from the area’s titular Black Spires. Appropriately, their banner is a dark yellow hue with black accents.
  • Galma: a scrappy settlement of mechanics and engineers who specialize in droidsmithing (and illegal podracing). Their flag is red and white.

The banners are also hung over the entrance to Black Spire Surplus (formerly First Order Cargo), but in a different order: Surabat, Galma, and Peka.

Batuu West Timeline Shift

The biggest change to Batuu West as a result of today’s official Original Trilogy timeline has been the presence of new (old?) characters roaming around half of Galaxy’s Edge: Darth Vader with his Imperial Stormtroopers and Rebel leader Leia Organa. Han Solo and Luke Skywalker will also make appearances.

Dok-Ondar's Den of Antiquities in Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge in Disneyland

So far, the changes we’ve noticed around Galaxy’s Edge in Disneyland leading up to the original trilogy timeline shift have been minimal. Oga’s Cantina recently reopened after a months-long refurbishment, but the work mostly involved general maintenance with only minor references changed, and after a short closure to “acquire more treasures,” Dok-Ondar’s Den of Antiquities reopened with some new props around his shop.
