After being swathed in scrim and scaffolding for the past week, the Indiana Jones Adventure exit queue scene has been revealed with new and refreshed props.

The exit of Indiana Jones Adventure is a long walkway that takes guests up and out of the temple and down a walkway past part of the Jungle Cruise (specifically the tiger animatronic). Last week, the entire Jungle Cruise-side fence and exit queue scene were completely covered in scrim and scaffolding.

All the coverings have been removed, and we can now see refreshed and new props alike.

The winch and the platform itself are new, although both have been artificially aged and weather-worn. The stacks of crates, barrel of beans, and wooden shovel have all returned to their spot flanking the winch.

The water tower has been refurbished from the top down to its pump.

Past the water tower is a short canvas tent with a stovepipe sticking out. A crate with a Mara statue and another excavated tablet, this one of a singular snake, sits outside a tent flap.

Indiana Jones Adventure frequently closes for refurbishment, sometimes for just a few days and sometimes for months. It’s full of complex effects that must be repeatedly fixed and maintained, although some effects have been fully abandoned and replaced by projections.

A 2023 refurbishment restored several effects and introduced a new scene, and in January 2026, the collapsing bridge effect was restored after being broken or inactive for several years.

Indiana Jones Adventure: Temple of the Forbidden Eye opened at Disneyland Park in 1995. A second version, subtitled Temple of the Crystal Skull, opened with Tokyo DisneySea in 2001 and is a nearly identical attraction but with a slightly different story set in Mexico instead of India. Walt Disney World will receive its own version at Disney’s Animal Kingdom as a reimagining of the now-extinct DINOSAUR ride, which has the same ride system and a near-identical track to the existing Indy attractions.
