Walt Disney Imagineering filed four new permits for Monstropolis, the new Monsters, Inc. land under construction at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, covering set and signage installation.
Monstropolis Theming Permits

Two permits are for 365 Cypress Dr, the address of the former MuppetVision 3D theater. The venue will become the Glob theater, according to concept art. One permit contracts InterAmerica Stage to “Install set elements.” InterAmerica also worked on the Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After stage show and Country Bear Musical Jamboree.
The second theater permit is for Design Communications to “Install signage” at the theater. This could be the new marquee or other exterior decorations of the building, as seen in the artwork. Crews have been preparing the theater for these installations over the past several weeks.

The other two permits also contract Design Communications to install signage at the former PizzeRizzo and Mama Melrose’s Ristorante Italiano buildings. PizzeRizzo, which was originally the Toy Story-inspired Pizza Planet, is expected to be reimagined into a Monstropolis quick-service venue, while Mama Melrose’s will become Harryhausen’s, as seen in the first Monsters, Inc. film.
