Disney has added more canopies to the courtyard outside Savi’s Workshop in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The first canopy went up just a few days ago.

The canopies provide a little bit of shade and cover. They’re strung between tall poles over the courtyard, which also has awnings and umbrellas.

The three new pieces of fabric hang behind construction walls and scrim, which went up last August. No work was visible in the area until this year, when we saw support poles go up for the shades.
Savi’s Workshop — where guests can build their own lightsabers in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge — remains open and operational during the construction.
The installation of canopies outside Savi’s follows the opening of a new seating area at the end of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge near Toy Story Land.
