Universal Orlando has filed a permit with the City of Orlando for an apparent refurbishment of Thunder Falls Terrace. The quick-service restaurant is in Jurassic Park at Universal Islands of Adventure.

Permit number BLD2026-13610 is for “interior renovations” at Thunder Falls Terrace, according to Universally Addicted. The permit passed review but a contractor has not yet been determined. The expiration date is October 26, 2026.

Given the refurbishment is for the restaurant’s interior, it would most likely close for a period of time, but Universal has made no announcements.

Thunder Falls Terrace serves rotisserie chicken, BBQ ribs, roasted pernil, rice bowls, salads, and more. It’s right next to Jurassic Park River Adventure, which is currently closed for a major refurbishment. The Thunder Falls Terrace refurb could be related.
