Crews have started installing the final chrome plating on the front of The Magic of Disney Animation marquee and removed posters from the Disney Jr. soundstage. The work is part of the ongoing transformation of Animation Courtyard into Walt Disney Studios Courtyard at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Two panels of chrome plating, still with protective coverings, are now on the front of the curved marquee. Concept art, below, indicates the plating will cover the entire front of the marquee.

The “Animation” sign was installed earlier this week.
Disney Jr. Billboards

The Mickey and Minnie Disney Jr. billboards have been cut out of their frames on the neighboring building. Painted “Stage 1” signs were recently added, renaming the soundstage. They will likely be replaced by advertisements for the new show, “Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live!”

The Phineas and Ferb and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse+ billboards remain on the Studio Theater across the courtyard. Also renamed, this theater is home to “The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure,” which continues to operate as normal during construction.
Construction Walls

Construction walls in front of the theater have shifted once again. We can now see a brick column below a corner of the walls. In the close-up of concept art below, this column is on the left, framing the courtyard’s entrance.
“Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live!” will open on May 26. Disney has not announced an opening date for The Magic of Disney Animation.
