The giant Mickey sorcerer hat in front of The Magic of Disney Animation in Disney’s Hollywood Studios will have a special lighting effect(s).
Lights on Sorcerer Hat

Look close and you’ll se lightbulbs dotting the hat’s surface.

They are almost invisible during the day but will presumably be illuminated at night.

The facade, including the sorcerer hat, is inspired by the Roy E. Disney Animation Building at Walt Disney Studios in California. Though the California hat is only illuminated by spotlights at night, it seems the Disney’s Hollywood Studios version will have a pixie dust effect.
This could be inspired by the park’s former sorcerer hat icon, which existed from 2001 to 2015. Its ears, moon, and stars had magical lighting effects active at night.

Special lighting is not clear in the concept art, but plans are always subject to change from art to final product.

Elsewhere around the courtyard, the number “1” has been painted under the word “Stage” on the Disney Jr. building.
The Magic of Disney Animation is a new version of an opening-day experience. For 10 years, the building housed Star Wars: Launch Bay.
The surrounding Animation Courtyard is being reimagined into the Walt Disney Studios Courtyard. The update brings more green space to the courtyard, plus pavement featuring character autographs and handprints. Characters are expected to appear outside.

There will also be indoor meet and greets, a drawing class with Olaf, and an Alice in Wonderland playground.
Next door, the new Disney Jr. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live! show will open on May 26. The courtyard is expected to open on the same date but The Magic of Disney Animation will open later.
