The left half of The Magic of Disney Animation in Disney’s Hollywood Studios now has red stripes to match the right half. The paint scheme is inspired by the Roy E. Disney Animation Building at Walt Disney Studios in California.
The Magic of Disney Animation Stripes

We saw the stripes on the left half of the building in progress on Saturday morning. Photographer @bioreconstruct on X then shared a photo of the stripes further along in the afternoon.
Crew members were still painting stripes around the corner and small stripes will also be added below the green grates, just like on the right side of the building.
“The Little Mermaid” Theater

Meanwhile, we noticed a change at the theater for “The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure.” While there were no changes to the Walt Disney Studios billboard design being painted on the side of the soundstage, the columns lining the exterior queue have been painted a dark orange color.

The columns were previously blue but the orange better matches the updated color scheme of Animation Courtyard. The rest of the building was painted beige earlier this year.
“The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure” continues to perform as normal. The reimagined courtyard, now dubbed the Walt Disney Studios Courtyard, is expected to open with Disney Jr. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live! on May 26. The Magic of Disney Animation will open at a later date.
Inside The Magic of Disney Animation, guests will meet characters, learn to draw with Olaf (instead of live artists), and play on an Alice in Wonderland playground.
