Disney has filed two permits for “Project Fedora” directly outside the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular theater in Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Project Fedora

Project Fedora — obviously a reference to Indiana Jones’ iconic hat — recently appeared on the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District map of Walt Disney World. The 202 square foot space is right outside the stunt show’s exit, where construction recently began. Prior to 2020, there was a truck that acted as a merchandise kiosk in the space. Props were recently removed and pavement was torn away.

The two new construction permits for the Project Fedora location (253 Cypress Dr) were filed by Disney’s Facility Asset Management, who usually handle maintenance projects. Walt Disney Imagineering, on the other hand, usually files theming related permits.
One permit contracts Slalom Construction Services and the other contracts Artistic Entertainment Services. Both are for “General Construction,” offering no hint as to what the work is for.
Artistic Entertainment Services has worked with Disney and other theme parks, specializing in scenic fabrication, suggesting the area will get new themed propping and set pieces. It’s possible a brand-new merchandise kiosk or snack kiosk could be constructed.

No matter what is in the works, the codename definitely suggests it will be related to Indiana Jones. On the other side of the stunt show theater, there was once an Indiana Jones gift shop. It never reopened after 2020 although did operate as a temporary exhibit and bar for the release of Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny in 2023.
While the IP remains at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, a new Indiana Jones ride is also under construction at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, replacing DINOSAUR.
The Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular is still running without a boulder after a cast member was injured stopping the boulder when it came off its track.
