As we reported earlier this week, boat transportation between Disney’s Wilderness Lodge and Magic Kingdom has resumed. However, the boardwalk leading to the resort dock remains under refurbishment. Currently, most guests have to take a longer walk to reach the dock.
Disney’s Wilderness Lodge Dock Refurbishment

The main boardwalk leading through the wilderness from Copper Creek Springs to the dock is still closed. The wooden board decking was removed from this stretch of boardwalk to be replaced.

To reach the dock, guests have to instead walk through the main building towards Cascade Cabins 8001 – 8012. They can then reach another boardwalk that connects to the dock.

Thankfully, there are several signs pointing to boat transportation.

The boardwalk by the cabins has yet to be refurbished. Presumably, after the first boardwalk is completed, this one will be closed and refreshed.

Here, you can see the brand new decking on part of the closed boardwalk, behind barriers.

Those new wood boards continue down the actual dock.
The refurbishment is scheduled to continue through July. Though this first stage is focused on the decking, it’s possible that railings and lights could also be replaced.
