The Encanto ride building has exterior paneling and crews have started constructing the Tropical Americas carousel queue in Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

The Encanto ride building at the back of the future Tropical Americas land now has green exterior paneling across two walls. Judging by the Tropical Americas model (below), this may be the final “go-away-green” look for the building. It will also be surrounded by fake hills to help it blend into the surrounding environment.

A detailed scale model of a residential area, Pueblo Esperanza, surrounded by dense foliage, featuring houses, pathways, and various small structures amidst a wooded landscape.

In front of the ride building will be Casita, while guests will enter through a side building on the left. The entrance currently consists of peaked steel frames.

More steel has been added to the entrance in recent weeks, including several pieces sticking out of the edge, maybe for an overhang or signage.

Clock Tower

We saw crew members in a lift soldering steel on the new clock tower. This frame went vertical just over a week ago. The clock tower is also seen in the Tropical Americas model and concept art.

The tower is not far from the new carousel, where another frame creates a peaked wall. This is likely for the carousel's queue buildings. In the concept art below, there are two rows of buildings along the land's entrance pathway.

The peaked structure near the carousel is for the buildings on the left, while the clock tower is at the end of the buildings on the right.
