Mythos Restaurant in the Lost Continent area of Universal Islands of Adventure will permanently close next year. To fill the gap left by Mythos, Thunder Falls Terrace in Jurassic Park will close this summer to be transformed into the park’s new signature full-service restaurant.
Mythos Permanently Closing

Mythos will close in 2027. Other Lost Continent offerings will also permanently close to make way for a new themed land. Demolition is underway throughout the land, mainly at the former Poseidon’s Fury and The Eighth Voyage of Sindbad.
Universal announced last fall, “In the coming months, there will be construction activity in Lost Continent as part of site planning to ensure the area is ready for any future developments.”
They have not confirmed what will replace Lost Continent.
Mythos is an award-winning restaurant offering modern cuisine in a “mythical setting” featuring a mix of Mediterranean, Asian, and American fare.
Thunder Falls Terrace Transformation

Universal recently filed a permit for construction at Thunder Falls Terrace. We now know the quick-service restaurant will close this summer to be transformed into a full-service restaurant. It will reopen in 2027.

It seems likely Thunder Falls Terrace will become Hammond’s, a table-service restaurant in Jurassic World at Universal Beijing Resort. Named after the founder of Jurassic Park, Hammond’s has a similar appearance to Thunder Falls Terrace.
