As Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets revs up for opening, we noticed not only a sizable group of Cast Members and corporate employees, but some new paintwork around the attraction’s gift shop.

New Paint Around Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets Gift Shop

This cluster of corporate employees and Cast Members by the planter walls initially caught our attention, no doubt discussing preparations for Annual Passholder and DVC Member previews later this month. Then we glanced up and spotted some new splashes of color on the gray ride building.

This wall by the attraction’s gift shop now features a yellow circle with swirl and star accents, plus bright pink and blue dots.

The pattern and colors echo those found on the giant guitar’s brand-new psychedelic paint job, which was recently fully revealed. The piano around its base has also been restored, complete with one golden key to represent Electric Mayhem frontman Dr. Teeth.

Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets

The new version of Rock ‘N’ Roller Coaster opens on May 26, 2026, and has a similar storyline to its previous Aerosmith incarnation. Disney released the complete tracklist for the Muppets ride featuring rock covers by The Electric Mayhem. In the queue will be Muppet props, The Electric Mayhem posters, and celebrity cameos.

A virtual queue is not planned for when Rock ‘N’ Roller Coaster officially reopens on May 26.
